Kerry Sanderson

Kerry Sanderson is an award-winning career educator and Positive Psychology practitioner with over 20 years of transformative experience in higher education. She currently serves as the Senior Project Manager of Well-Being & Engagement and in the Adjunct Faculty – Psychology at GateWay Community College in Phoenix, Arizona, where she teaches the popular and highly rated course, Positive Psychology: The Science of Well-Being.

Kerry holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History (University of California, Berkely), a Master of Business Administration in Marketing (Rice University) and a Master of Applied Positive Psychology (University of Pennsylvania), having studied under Dr. Martin Seligman, the founder of Positive Psychology.

In 2019, Kerry spearheaded the initiative to make GateWay the world’s first well-being community college, for which she was awarded Innovation of the Year. As a result of her pioneering work, GateWay committed to well-being for all, making it one of the President’s four key strategic priorities and garnering the support of a multi-million-dollar grant from the US Department of Education.

Kerry’s mission is to advocate for the principles of Positive Psychology to foster academic achievement and flourishing in educational communities worldwide.
